Patient Participation Group

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.

Our practice managers are surgery coordinators for this group and responsibilities include:

  • Informing the PPG of upcoming surgery or locality events
  • Devising patient surveys and collating results
  • Liaising with the PPG lead
  • Coordinating feedback from a number of sources
  • Informing staff at teaching sessions/training events

To help us with this, we have an active ‘virtual’ (online) patient participation group so that you can have your say. We ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received.

To get a truly representative sample we need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

Patient Involvement and Feedback

An action plan following our most recent patient survey has been emailed out to all patients registered in our PPG a big thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

Results of surveys and action plans are available to view in reception.

At Sunny Meed we encourage all patients to become involved in shaping their healthcare and value any input that patients can provide from feedback, writing surgery reviews, completing on-line surveys, contributing at forum meetings at the surgery or at the CCG and even fundraising for equipment.


We have undertaken surveys of ‘young people’ (patients 13-18 years of age) registered at the practice to ensure we meet their specific requirements.

We have 2 Patient Participation Representatives to support the surgery – a big thank you for volunteering to help us keep ‘patient priorities’ at the heart of all developments.

We are always keen to receive feedback and appreciate your time in undertaking a review. All feedback is discussed by the Sunny Meed team and used during monthly in-house training sessions, highlighting areas in which we can make improvements and reflecting upon good practice.
